Who We Are

Excellence & Uniqueness

DÉCOR DESIGN CONSTRUCTORS & CIVIL ENGINEERINGS WORKS CO. LTD (DDC) is a privately owned company headquartered in KAMPALA-UGANDA.

DDC was established and incorporated as limited company by shares in JULY 2015. Before then much of our work was delivered through
our subsidiary company, PAGGER CONSULTS. Our 45% share in this joint venture with PAGGER CONSULTS enabled us to open up access to
a wider base of experience, expertise and resource for projects when appropriate.

DDC has maintained a good reputation in Architectural plans, Building Construction, civil works, consultancy and project Management in the building and civil engineering industry..

SAFETY STANDARDS, SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
DDC has a strong commitment to health and safety regulations that ensures continuous improvement and protection of health and safety of staff, clients, sub-contractors, general public and environment at large.

DDC! PROVIDERS OF LOW COST HOUSING SERVICES.

Low cost housing can be considered affordable for low- and moderate-income earners if household can acquire a housing unit (owned or rented) for an amount up to 30 percent of its household income. In UGANDA, approx 15% of the population are high-income earners, who are able to afford normal housing units. The low-income groups in Uganda are generally unable to access the housing market. Cost effective housing is a relative concept and has more to do with budgeting and seeks to reduce construction cost through better management, appropriate use of local materials, skills and technology but without sacrificing the performance and structure’s health and life.

It should be noted that low cost housings are not houses which are constructed by cheap building materials of substandard quality. A low cost house is designed and constructed as any other house with regard to foundation, structure and strength. The reduction in cost is achieved through effective utilization of locally available building materials and techniques that are durable, economical, accepted by users and not requiring costly maintenance.

Low cost housing is a new concept which deals with effective budgeting and following of techniques which help reducing construction cost through the use of locally available materials along with improved skills and technologies without sacrificing the strength, performance and life of the structure.

Low cost housing technologies aim to cut down construction cost by using alternatives to the conventional methods and inputs. It is about the usage of local and indigenous building materials, local skills, energy saver and environment-friendly options.

We encourage you to visit our office and take you through more. Construction IS NOT expensive as you have always believed. Any budget can earn you a decent house. Don’t you hesitate to start. We are here to walk with you through the whole process until you achieve it. Your success is our happiness.

OUR PROCESS

GET STARTED

Your Streamlined Journey To Building Your Dream Home!

@DDC We Serve!

An initial meeting is scheduled with us, where we will discuss your overall desires, budget and vision for your home. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to learn more about you, your family and your lifestyle – which gives us extra insight on how we can design a home that you will love!

Prior to starting any design, we will want to know whether construction on the site is viable. Carrying out an extensive site analysis [or context analysis] will assess whether development is financially feasible, and establish parameters to implement the best design that responds to the physical and environmental features of the site.

A contextual analysis is a research activity that looks at the existing conditions of a project site, along with any imminent or potential future conditions. The purpose is to inform us about a site prior to the start of our design process so that our initial design thinking about a site can incorporate considered responses to the external conditions.

An architectural and Engineers site analysis will look at issues such as site location, size, topography, zoning, traffic conditions and climate. The analysis also needs to consider any future developments, or changes to the sites surroundings, such as a change of roads designations, changing cultural patterns, or other significant building developments within the area.

Understanding the context of a site is key to enabling the designer to weave the new design with the existing fabric of the site. It allows us to understand the existing opportunities, or problems in a site, and make informed decisions.

Pay 60% of the cost of design plans is paid on account then We hit the “drawing board”! An initial concept and drawing is completed. We meet for an overview of the project.

Your revisions and requests – After the initial concept overview, we use your requests, revisions and suggestions to further customize your home design to fit your family! At this stage, a digital rendering and floor plan will be sent to you. You can review and make notes/edits directly on your own floor plan!

After you approve of your customized floor plan, we develop a working plan for district approvals. At this stage you pay us the balance of 40%.

Construction:

Contract is signed & construction begins at payment of 50% of the contract value! we will sign a contract and begin the exciting process of constructing your new home! We take care of all the necessary permits and “red tape”, so that you can focus on the fun stuff!
